I'm Marco Gancitano, a Technical Product Manager (former Software Engineer) based in New Jersey currently focused on AI applications. Most of my career has been at the intersection of engineering and product at early-stage startups going 0 → 1. How I work
The intersection of engineering, product, and AI is where I do my best work (a.k.a. Technical Product Manager). Being close enough to the code to know what's actually possible and close enough to the users to know what they need, reducing the time from messy problem to working product as much as possible. I've launched an AI journaling app as a founder, led website and onboarding redesigns at an enterprise startup, and shipped full-stack products across crypto infrastructure, digital art, food analytics, and fintech data.
What I think about
I tend to think a lot (some would say overthink) about what's going on in the world. For the past few years, that's been AI. It seems to me that the potential for negative consequences is largely under-talked-about. So while I think it'll change the world for mostly good, we should be openly discussing the downsides and risks that are coming our way.
