Overview
Ponder was an exploration of the next generation of digital mental health. I led a team of five across design, engineering, product, and clinical psychology to build and ship the iOS app.
What we built
- A mobile app that grew to hundreds of paying subscribers
- A proprietary fine-tuned LLM optimized for higher emotional intelligence than base models
- Clinically informed product iteration developed with our clinical psychology advisor
Outcome
We raised a family-and-friends round and ran the company for a stretch before winding it down. Growth plateaued and the market saturated faster than our differentiation could compound, so we made the call to close it out.
